My name is Paisley Sierra. I am a member of the Oglala Lakota Nation and grew up on the Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota. I am a Senior at the University of Minnesota Morris dual majoring in Environmental and Native American Indigenous Studies. I am also an intern in the Office of Sustainability (https://sustainable.umn.edu/about) as well as a Garden Peer Mentor for the Native American Student Success Center (https://morris.umn.edu/about-morris/native-american-student-success-program-nass) focusing on honoring place-based Indigenous languages.
